Straight, L-shaped and parallel kitchens

Start from the 12 × 10 ft straight kitchen, the 13 × 11 ft L-shaped kitchen with two adjacent worktop walls, or a 10 × 13 ft parallel kitchen with two opposing runs. Edit room sizes, rotate units 90 degrees at a time and shift them using the arrow controls directly below the canvas. Kitchen runs are represented as rectangular planning footprints; an L-shape is made from two perpendicular runs rather than freehand cabinetry.

Counters, appliances and door openings

Place base counters, a sink counter, a hob counter, a preparation counter, fridge, tall pantry, kitchen island or utility shelf. Adjust the width, depth and position of each. Mark a door, window or open passage on any side. Changes save in this browser, independently of your Floor, Bedroom, Living Room and general Furniture plans.

Understanding the kitchen checks

The Layout Check compares the centre-to-centre distances between the sink, hob and fridge and flags some opposing gaps smaller than 3 ft. These are simplified geometric prompts to support a conversation about available space, not a complete circulation or kitchen work-triangle certification. A warning-free layout can still be impractical.

Concept planner only: Cabinet sizes and appliance footprints are approximate starting points. Measure the actual room, chimney/ventilation, gas or electrical service, sink waste/water points, door openings, drawer operation, appliance doors and counter heights. Consult qualified trades and applicable local requirements before ordering or installing a kitchen.

Kitchen layout questions

Can I plan an Indian 10 × 13 ft parallel kitchen?

Yes. Select the parallel template, then adjust the opposing counters and appliances. You can also type your own room dimensions in feet or metres.

Can I choose L-shaped counters?

Yes. The L-shaped starter uses separate editable straight counter runs placed along two joining walls. Individual pieces can be moved or resized.

Can I keep a copy?

Yes. Export a PDF, PNG or SVG to share; save an editable JSON file to reopen the project. Drafts also autosave in the current browser.
